Fahrenheit 451 pp 91-110

The first main scene was at Montag's house, he read a poem to Mildred's friends and made one cry. He was tired of listening to ignorant people. The second main scene was at the firehouse with Beatty. Beatty tries to convince Montag not to quit his job and that books don't mean anything. Then he gets a call and he has to burn Montag's house.

On page 103 when Montag is saying, "It was good listening to the beetle hum, the sleepy mosquito buzz and delicate filigree murmur of the old man's voice....". This figurative language makes me see the way Montag compares the old man's voice with the buzz of a mosquito. In my head i ould picture the sound of the old man's voice and the annoying buzz. This quote appeals to the sense of hearing.
