A questin that i have is that why doesn't Montag turn Faber in when he knew that he had books? I mean when he met him he didn't realize that the society was totally wrong in thinking that the books should be burned.
Fabers' plan is to hid books inside the firemen's houses so that they could be caught with them and for once they would be the ones doing something wrong. In page 85 Fiber says "...print extra books and arrange to have them hidden in firemen's houses all over the country, so that seeds of suspicion would be sown among these arsonists". Later on he tells Montag that he was just playing and that he didn't really mean it. But they keep it into cosideration, the only thing is that Faber tells Montag that they can't trust anyone. That's why the lan would not work.
